Election Day

Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 7am-7pm

Register to Vote

You can register to vote online here until October 6. Afterwards, Same Day Registration (SDR) opens at all Early or Election Day voting locations. Please bring proper ID to update your voter registration or to register to vote. Bring a photo ID and a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, student identification card or other government document, including identification issued by an Indian nation, tribe or pueblo that shows your name and current address.

Absentee Voting/Voting by Mail

Tuesday, October 6—Tuesday, November 3
You can request an absentee ballot now! It is easy to request your absentee ballot online. Ballots will be mailed out beginning on October 6. 

On Tuesday, October 6, you can also vote In-Person (Absentee) at the Clerk’s Annex at 1500 Lomas Blvd NW, Suite A.  You can track the status of your absentee ballot here. 


October 20 is the deadline for the county clerk to receive an absentee-ballot application.

Returning your absentee ballot is also easy. You can:

  • Return your ballot by mail, using the pre-paid return envelope.

  • Hand deliver your absentee ballot to any Early or Election Day polling site beginning October 17 through Election Day on November 3. 

  • Drop off your absentee ballot at any of the six ballot drop-off locations in Bernalillo County, found here.

All absentee ballots must be received by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3. Tuesday, October 27, 2026 is the last day we recommend mailing a ballot back to our office.


Expanded Early Voting

Saturday, October 17—Saturday, October 31

There are 20 Early Voting Convenience Centers in Bernalillo Coun Thank You!. Early Voting centers are open from Monday through Saturday, 10am to 7pm. All Early Voting Locations can be found here.

Early Voting Locations closest to  House District 29 are:

  1. Andalucia Shopping Center – 5600 Coors Blvd NW, Suite C-5, 87120 

  2. West Bluff Center – 5211 Ouray Rd NW, Suite B, 87120

  3. 98th & Central Shopping Center – 120 98th St NW, Suite B101 & B102, 87121

  4. Petroglyph Plaza – 8201 Golf Course Rd NW, Suite D-1, 87120
